Clean and simple, but am not using it. I fell its yust to little for an app. I see it more like an embedable feature.
BillMonk already does this better
Including twitter use (direct message) would be very nice addition. Good job on this app!
I want this for my iPhone, also, if I’m in the habit of lending money, I’d like the ability to add up the monetary amounts.
It looks great, and does what’s advertised, but really, I would have expected a little more. It’s not innovative at all because there are so many other products, free and paid, that have gone out of business doing exactly the same thing. I find it as useful as a reminder in google calendar. But that’s just my opinion. I think you did a really good job implementing it and I love the illustration on the home page. Good job overall!
@digitalight what features would you like to see? We are always open to suggestions! Thanks for the comment!
This is a really polished application, simple in scope, and has a great experience for the new user. Kudos!
nice but incredibly limited app, would be better with other features.
This is really incredible! I love it.
seems easy to use. I would hope you had friends who just gave stuff back, but that isn’t always the case. Nice job guys. Good luck!
I really like this app. I can definitely see its usefulness. The design could use a bit more attention, but overall the site is great!
Anything but comic sans. Anything!
Nice app! I would actually use this one! It’s simple and easy to use.
email validation is poorly done for sign up and there is no openid integration
Good luck guys! Looks good and wish I could use something like it at work – LOL!
Another sister
great application! Wish I had this back in my college days! Good luck. Michelle
Good Luck!! Taxes Inclus :) lol
Pretty cool! I’d actually use this myself, Good luck guys!(Drew)
The other sister :0)!!!
@Jolie: SMS & Twitter notifications are available to signed in users, as well as the ability to ‘nag’ your friend when items are approaching their due date.
I really like this! Especially since I don’t have to sign up to use it. Works really well, and the UX you have is actually really good and natural. It doesn’t “feel” like a form of stuff to input.
Very limited functionality, lots of overlap with fuller services/apps from much larger entities. Needs graphic design work, SMS notification capabilities, and more use cases.
@graywh: Actually, it’s use as verb is completely standard. While it does have a financial connotation, it is not exclusive to the financial sector. Loan as a synonym for “to lend” is perfectly acceptable. The paragraph below is dictionary.com’s explanation:
“Sometimes mistakenly identified as an Americanism, loan as a verb meaning “to lend” has been used in English for nearly 800 years: Nearby villages loaned clothing and other supplies to the flood-ravaged town. The occasional objections to loan as a verb referring to things other than money, are comparatively recent. Loan is standard in all contexts but is perhaps most common in financial ones: The government has loaned money to farmers to purchase seed.” – http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/loan
Cool idea. I think the app is slick, but something in the process has to be smoothed out a bit, since you are catering to an audience that is uptight and impatient. I imagine this would work well as a mobile app too. Good job, guys!
Sorry guys, but “loan” is traditionally a noun. Its use as a verb is generally associated with money. :)
